Innovation Crescent Industry Partnership
The Innovation Crescent Industry Partnership (ICIP) is a partnership of life science companies in the Innovation Crescent region from Atlanta to Athens that identifies common needs, applies for grants, and leverages resources across companies.
The ICIP is currently comprised of six life science companies that represent over 2,000 employees. Current members include: Alkermes, CryoLife, Immu-cor, Merial Select, Noramco, and Porex.
Successes include approval of two Workforce Competitiveness Grants from the Georgia Work Ready Regional Industry Network (GWRRIN) for common training needs. The GWRRIN is a not-for profit corporation whose purpose is to promote and support productivity and competitiveness of Georgia’s strategic industries through comprehensive workforce development strategies and a net-work of regional Industry Partnerships. The GWRRIN provides Workforce Competitiveness Grants to the regional Industry Partnerships to sustain their important efforts in developing a skilled workforce.
