CorMatrix names new president and COO

Roswell, Ga.-based medical device company CorMatrix Cardiovascular Inc. named Andrew M. Green its president and chief operating officer.
Green joined the company in July 2013 as vice president of regulatory, clinical and quality affairs, and he was later promoted to executive vice president of operations. In this role, he is credited with consolidating CorMatrix's operations and expanding its product pipeline, including for three new products that received clearance from the U.S. Food and Drug Administration.
Prior to joining CorMatrix, Green held various executive roles at Halscion Inc., Oncologix Tech Inc. and Novoste Corp.
CorMatrix develops biomaterial compositions that use the body's own ability to repair damaged tissues and medical devices for regenerative medicine. Since its 2006 launch, the company's ECM technology has been used in more than 975 U.S. hospitals and implanted in over 135,000 cardiovascular procedures.
