FDA Approves New Georgia Medical Devices

The U.S. Food and Drug Administrationhas approved two new medical devices made by Georgia companies.

C.R. Bard Inc.'s Medical Division, based in Covington, Ga., received a green light from the FDA to market a new device for treating female stress urinary incontinence called the Ajust Helical Adjustable Single Incision Sling.

Alpharetta, Ga.'s EndoChoice Inc. was cleared to market a new water bottle cap irrigation system. It's used to provide irrigation via a sterile water supply during gastrointestinal endoscopic procedures when used in conjunction with an irrigation pump.

Both devices received FDA clearance in November.
