AIIC17PURPOSE
This year’s conference will explore the digital tools needed to facilitate a vision of personalized connected health and population health management. The event provides a collaborative environment for university researchers and industry executives using a program filled with subject matter experts describing current models and innovative trends shaping the future of translational science through the lens of mobile/digital health. The program includes a national industry perspective, academic experts on digital health, big data integration, and cybersecurity imperatives, and stories of successful academic-industry partnerships and useful collaborative ideas and resources from an expert academic-industry panel. ORGANIZERS
The Atlanta Clinical & Translational Science Institute (ACTSI), led by Emory University with partners Morehouse School of Medicine and Georgia Institute of Technology, and Georgia Bio, the state’s life sciences industry association, organizes this conference annually to provide critical information on how academia and industry can work together to translate science into discovery and engage communities in clinical research efforts and outcomes. This half-day conference provides examples on how universities and industry can collaborate effectively, and subject matter experts representing academia, industry, foundations, investors, and governments.

 

KEYNOTE SPEAKER

Neil Gomes, MBA, MEd
Vice President for Technology and Consumer Experience, Thomas Jefferson University and Jefferson Health System 

Through his experience in industry, start-up, and academic environments, Gomes will explore the digital healthcare transformation revolution, highlighting the digital tools needed to facilitate personalized connected health and population health management, and describing current models and innovative trends shaping translational science through the lens of mobile/digital health.
