Please join Georgia Bio's Emerging Leaders Network on our Industry Tour for a closer look of UGA Veterinary Medical Center, a teaching hospital that handles more than 25,000 small and large animal visits each year and offers 25+ specialty services, including a 24-hour emergency service.
In March 2015, the VTH moved into a brand-new, state-of-the-art facility, located at 2200 College Station Road. The new building allows the Hospital to bettermeet its current patient care demands and the educational needs of the College while ensuring a bright future for both the CVM and the veterinary profession. The Hospital also features top-of-the-line equipment such as a 64-Slice CT scanner and a 3T open bore MRI for large and small animals, and a linear accelerator that, in certain cases, can treat tumors in fewer radiation therapy sessions and can also treat more types of tumors. The campus where the Hospital is located is referred to as the Veterinary Medical Center. It includes the main Hospital, a covered equine performance arena, a building for the Hospital’s ambulatory services, and an education building for teaching third-year veterinary students.
Closed toed shoes are required for this tour.
