Event Description:

The course is designed to introduce the participants to advanced levels of laboratory techniques and knowledge regarding bioinformatics, biochemical and molecular biological techniques that are routinely performed in research, government, and industrial biotechnology laboratories. The exercises are designed to provide a hands-on context for topics that generally presented in biotechnology lectures for high schools and introductory college levels. An emphasis will be on learning DNA techniques that the teachers can easily carry out in their class rooms and could possibly be introduced into the biotechnology curriculum.
